In an effort to keep to 80’s alive, Kate Phelan (also known as the genius global creative director behind the British high-street empire and contributing editor to the British Vogue) put together a vibrant and seductive Spring/Summer 2017 collection sporting the best of the eighties with this era’s flavor. It’s at the infamous Old Spitafield Markets that today’s Topshop Unique show took place, a very iconic location. To the sound of Cerrone “Supernature” that models such as Taylor Hill, Stella Maxwell or Hailey Baldwin strut down the runway venting that cool Camden vibe that we would all worship and secretly wish we could to effortlessly replicate.
Zebra prints, black vinyl pencil skirts and jackets, off-shoulder silhouettes and hot pink cocoon coats (to name a few of the greatest pieces from the runway), this collection literally had my heart skip a beat. To me, it was the perfect balance between feminine and cool. But I have to admit that the best part of the show, was to actually buy some of the pieces right after the show. This is what we’re slowly (but surely) moving towards, and I’m happy to be witnessing that transition after going to the Topshop show for the past 6 years.
Here are some of my favorite looks from the runway and find the direct links at the bottom of this post to shop some of the items online. This post was created in collaboration with Topshop and I’m immensely grateful to the team for having me again season after season and excited for the next ones to come! Don’t forget to head to my snapchat before my story expires to see some bits of show.
