This collection is very dear to me because I love the ambiance from the 30’s and that show captured the essence of that era beautifully, à la Karl Lagerfeld by adding a modern touch to it. I loved how the decor mimicked the famous staircase from the iconic 31 Rue Cambon store that lead to the Haute Couture Salons. On this day, I picked my favourite looks and paired them with my favourite pieces from Chanel’s Fine Jewelry Collection « Les Blés » and photograph them together in the prestigious VIP salons of the London flagship store on Bond street.
The first look feels very dreamy. As you may or may not know, Haute-Couture pieces are always one of a kind and they take hours to be produced. The first look 650 hours to make with thousands and thousands of elements such as metal motifs, barrettes, strass and crystal beads.
The second look is one of my favourite looks. First of all, what I love the most is that it’s a jumpsuit, it makes it a lot more interesting and special than if it were just a dress. I’m sure you might have recognized it from Emma Stone, as she wore it a few days before to the BAFTAS in London. I wish you could see the detailing up close and see the work of the precious crystal stones that took over 1000 hours to confection. I’m wearing this look with the iconic earcuff from Les Blés de CHANEL “Brins de diamants” in 18K white gold and diamonds.
And now last but not least. Look 53, Haute Couture Spring Summer 2017. It’s a long-sleeved sequined dress with a cascade of pink feathers at the bottom with a high waisted belt to add a little modern touch. I love a plunging neckline as you may have noticed. . I combined it with Massaro shoes from the show and earrings from Les Blés de CHANEL “Champ de Blé” earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds.
If you haven’t seen the show, you can have a look here, it’s always better to see the clothes in motion, especially with pieces like these.
