As you may or may not know already, 7 For All Mankind (also known as 7FAM) just opened its doors in Geneva located on 7 Rue du Rhône. I’m very honored that the brand picked my hometown to implement their first boutique in Switzerland and yesterday I attended the opening party which was a lot of fun (please refer to my instagram @sorayabakhtiar to see some pictures).
I have a very strong and emotional connection with the brand. Let me tell you the story that I haven’t told anyone until well, now… When I was thirteen, I was desperate to get my hands on a pair of jeans from 7 For All Mankind and it was very difficult to find them in Europe. It really became an obsession, I NEEDED them. All the cool girls at school were wearing them, the flared version with the “A” designed on the pockets (see which one I’m talking about?). I begged my parents but because I was only thirteen and wasn’t doing so great at school back then, I started saving up to buy my very own pair. One day, a dear friend of mine was traveling to New York and I begged her to bring me back a pair. Behind my parents back, I changed my Swiss Francs to US dollars and gave the money to her so she could bring me back a pair. The funny story is that they never found out, until probably today if they’re reading this. Mom, dad, I’m sorry I lied to you, but on the bright side I was a good kid and you know it! With that said, 7 For All Mankind really marks the beginning of my transition into a young woman, which is why it is a brand that I hold close to my heart.
It’s crazy to see how the brand evolved within the last years and how they managed to expand. As I visited the Geneva store, I discovered that the brand isn’t only about denim but carries beautiful knits and leather/fur outerwear’s. I styled a head-to-toe look with items from 7 For All Mankind to give you a glimpse of what’s currently in store. I fell in love with the studded leather jacket that I’m wearing, it’s such a easy statement piece with a little bit of edge (you know me, just how I like it!). And no need to talk about the skinny skinny jeans, these will just lift everything up and make you feel like you own the town, just like their ambassador Miranda Kerr.
